Transtel MD presents paper at Broadcast India show

Mumbai: October 2009 - John Evans presented his paper outlining the use of news transfer standards including IPTC's NewsML, hNews and MOS in the convergent newsroom.
'It is the management not the software that will create a convergent newsroom, but software can help' was the start of the message.
A thought provoking look at the issues still facing the challenge of convergingnewsrooms was received with great interest by the Indian audience. The cost and time of producing and distributing different renditions of huge video files was of particular interest and the on-demand model used by companies like Thompson Reuters showed a glimpse of the future.
